Stopped at the local shop on the way home from work tnt to pick up a tyre and I walked round the corner to the workshop and there it was - my new bike had arrived!!! It was just in and Steve hadn't had a chance to ring and tell me. The best surprise ever! Pick up Monday and all the mods and tinkering begin. Gunna be a long weekend waiting

I'm 'allowed' to go pick it up, but not allowed to ride before Jardine does - WTF??:dunno

There's another 701 in the shop owned by another inmate - I might have a little sit on it before she does - I'm sure @Miss Jane won't mind:hide

You keep your farty boy bottom off my bike :bluduh

That's my bike tucked in behind Jardines, picking it up on Monday also. Oh my goodness, I can't wait. It will be a bit tall to start with, so AdventureUnCut look out for me on Monday when I visit the fellas at Choice Suspension. I'll pop in and say hello.

Does anyone know when the 701 Enduro will be generally available at dealers? There are none listed on Bikepoint, ie not even advertised for placing orders. How were you able to organise these first two, ie was is by special order? I'm jealous & impatient!

Hi Rus I went to my local dealer in early Jan to discuss ordering, timeframes etc. He said the first shipment was due in late Jan and all Aus dealers were placing their confirmed retail orders mid Jan so first, in first delivered. So it was not a special order as I put in a deposit and got in the que. The second shipment of confirmed orders is due late Feb. So my understanding is that confirmed orders are filled first then excess bikes are then available for dealers to have on the showroom floor. I decided to take the option of buying unseen rather than wait, look and buy. The dealer wasn't sure if the bike was going to be in the first or second shipment as he didn't know what other Aus orders were in. I organised with Miss Jane to purchase the two at the same shop to improve price bargaining. I have had a good relationship with the dealer for the last 10 years which meant I got the correct information the whole way thru rather than the sales spin. So in a nutshell, if you want one soon put in a deposit or if you want to look first then it's all dependant on when excess stock arrives. Cheers

Excellent, thank you Jardine. I found it peculiar that they aren't even listed on Bikepoint yet, which implies demand will exceed availability in the short-term.

I'm still very happy with my 630, so will keep an eye out for the 701 at my local Husky dealer. Am most interested in seeing it the flesh though, as they look very impressive in the pics.

Hi Rus I was looking to change from having 2 bikes I used occasionally to 1 that I can use for everything I do at the moment. You can never get the ideal one bike suits all but the husky or 690 would suit that fit best at the moment and reduce 2 regos/insurance. I will be heading out in the bush next weekend with Bluetongue Jak then getting it ready in Supermoto kit for a trackday and racing in March so never having ridden one it's an unknown but very exciting to see how it goes.
