Yes you need to do the Doooooooo,
The spring is too short I just did mine last month, replaced the spring and the adjuster.....you might as well do the adjuster at the same time as the spring as the genuine adjuster is not as well made as the aftermarket replacement.
also grease your swing arm bearings and steering head bearings.
Fit HID lighting kit, 0.30" shim under the carburettor needle and a 150 main jet.
Apart from that the 08 KLR is a nice bike.
havnt done the doo and dont plan to just yet (warranty)
just buy ,do it and enjoy it ,it 's hardly stripping it ,lets just say its a bit like the pimple on your girlfriends arse ,could be fine, but maybe it might turn in a melonoma but you can solve both those problems, this is the sort of fun you can have on a klr
Same here, I have no plains to do the doo either. HID's would be nice but the stock lights are better than most as is, The only thing you really Need to do is de-restrict it
yeh i read the 20cent mod to the carb but im a little shit when it comes to pulling stuff like that apart
would need help to do it
Yeah me too. Im just going to hand over a couple hundred bucks and get it dyno tuned
I live in Broadford, Victoria. My A18 has 30,000 Km on it and I had the doohickey replaced at purchase.
Mine looking down to Jamieson, Vic
The three above I took at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska about 10pm in June 2006. The bloke in the last shot had finished his ride up from Ushuaia in Argentina.
Hi I'm in the Perth hills WA. 50K on the clock of this 97 "c" hybrid.
I washed it last month, for the first time. Was so supprised it still had shiney bits that I took this pic.
scary fish, did you get your tank from "oscar"?
Hey Griffo, I see your KLR made it into the latest edition of TBAM... In the wide angle poster no less....
Cheers, I better check it out.
Gavmac I am looking at your pictures and pic two thinking "he is at Prudhoe Bay" damn I was right. Its a goal of mine.
I must say I didn't ride a bike to Prudhoe Bay, we drove up the Haul Road in a 8 seater van (minibus) from Fairbanks. I would have liked too though
Surreal in Summer, but I couldn't take the winters!
The night that we stayed at the Arctic Caribou Inn there were also a couple of BigStroms and a couple of GS's, so it's getting to be a very regular trip these days, speaking to the Hotel owner he told me that then about 10 or so years back they would have had maybe 6 bikes for the season.
Hay you 08 riders
You know that pretty green fairing that looks so cool on your nice new bike ? Well one side(1/2) of the green,no fittings, just your basic green bit of crap plastic is $283.00 .Faaaaaarkn hell.I will price more of the fairing when I get over the shock.:eek1 :eek1 :eek1
And not just the KLR Can I have your autograph mate .Your famous
