    So far...

Ryan does not show n the results, is shows as if he is on recovery with a front wheel problem. Problem arised in SS1 ... I hope it's not something serious, its a real shame ... Ryan shows on the move from his spot device on a highway so maybe the bike is loaded or towed.

SS1 winner Todd Smith, Rodney 6secs behind and then 47 secs lates is Matt.
Aprilia shows 10th on SS1 and Chris HSI shows as if he is out of SS1 as well...

SS2 winner Rodney , Todd shows 43secs+ later and Todd Smith another 9+minutes later
    Aprilia RXV shows 9th...

SS3 Jimba Jimba, Rodney, Todd (+42 secs) and then Matt (+11.5 minutes)
    Aprilia RXV shows 8th...

No other results at the time of writing... :ear

It's good to see Rod having a run up the front- he's had a few unlucky Safari's in the past.

    Dakar Challenge competitors running 4th & 5th outright at this stage. (other DC's are in pos: 11, 16, 19, 23, 25 & 30)

It'll be interesting to see if riders 34 (Wallace), 38 (Hsi), and 72 (Vasatko) will be permitted to start tomorrow, as they have DNF'd 2 successive days, which contravenes the "cut & run" regulation.

I'm thinking he decided not to restart today. What's the use he's done a million safaris already and it ends all the chatter about reseeding.

No idea. I coudn't see any mention of him, even in SS1, or the list of withdrawals from leg 2. Not listed in retirements either.

I don't think that would be the case.

He could be very useful acting as a fast "water boy" for his brother...

Return the favour for last year.:deal

He might have bigger plans and not want to risk injury on an event that he can't place in. Are GHR heading for Dakar 2014?

    Nothing. He will start tomorrow.

Not quite, but that will do.

    No. He wants to play.

    +1

Russell is doing a great job thusfar... :clap

Other (new) names in the top 10 so far... Lee Stephens is impressing and I gotta say (even though he is a world class competitor in rally circles) Alister McCrae is doing a mighty fine job for his first time in competition on a rally bike. :clap:clap

Shane D has got one eye on the Dakar entry ticket already... it would be nice to see him make the trip to Sth America to team up with Rod F on a Yamaha supported bike and give the big show a shake in January. :clap

After the day one failure of Jake's bike, I'm guessing that the GHR guys spent all night (after taking care of the other team bikes) to put a new donk in the #1 scooter. Interesting that he sat out leg 2 though...? As Sylvia has indicated that he will come out again on Leg 3 (Gascoyne to Gascoyne)... start in pos 11., just after the remaining top ten contenders.

    Roll on Safari week :deal

PS: Is anyone monitoring the Safari TV youtube channel. They are doing a top job with the interviews and daily image re-caps. :clap

Ivan Erceg and Bruce Garland have got to be two of the best interviews in the game... bloody clowns! :lol3 Their off cuff bivouac dialogue and antics make a bloke homesick I tell ya.
