So, I didn't recall seeing this pic and I consider myself to be a bit of a military aviation fan. I did a bit of searching around and found what looks to be a decent source which listed aircraft lost and or damaged in the original Operation Desert storm.
    http://www.dstorm.eu/pages/en/other/losses.html

Here are all the F-15s lost or damaged during that conflict that I could find:

The info provided with and about the pic doesn't seem to fit anything I can find. I'll go do a bit more research...

Case closed, as far as I'm concerned. I've worked with a couple of chronic liars. Repeatedly telling tall tales -- really tall tales -- was their MO. This has that same feel.

:lol3 I'm getting way off thread here, but the first chronic liar's stories were somewhat similar. He claimed to have flown attack aircraft for the Air National Guard and also to have been a cop of some sort. While also, somehow, pursuing a career as a TV news photographer and eventually becoming a news director. Busy guy. :lol3

News is reporting a passenger just fell out of a Piper (PA-40) somewhere around Tamiami Airpark, into the Atlantic. Pictures at 5.

I've got the TV on but haven't seen any pics. The PA-40 was supposed to be a successor to the Twin Commanche I think, but I've never seen one. More to this story I'm sure.

ABC said it was a Malibu, passenger fell out or jumped out into Biscayne Bay from an altitude of 1800.

Yeah. And no sense of urgency in his transmissions, either, really calm.

Sounds like an assisted suicide, maybe.

How do you open the door of a flying aircraft? The wind rush keeps the door closed, unless it is a sliding door. Very difficult to push it open far enough to allow a person to exit.

    I call BS...

Possible false representation and now a potential murder. :eek1

It feels like the this thread stumbled into a Hitchcock movie. :lol3

I believe the P46 Malibou has an air stair type door at mid fuselage and would be easier to open than a hinged door. It didn't open on its own and something doesn't smell right about the story.
