As at least one person here has said, that o-ring never came with the repair kit. I wonder if it is the same size as the one used on the front master cylinder reservoir.

There's almost always a solution. It seems to me that long ago I threaded the top of one of these masters and installed a plug which in turn got a hose barb.

No, its more like the set-up that VW used on their remote fill mastercylinders on the early bugs (hint-hint)

Thanks for the replies. The supplier has now found the part and as I thought the kit shows a similar part but is not supplied. I will request them to update their website to include this information. They are going to supply the part free of charge and shipping. See the part http://s801.photobucket.com/albums/yy298/bushyberster/?action=view&current=untitled.png<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

So after trying for more than a month it helps to CC the general manager in your reply if you don’t get satisfaction. Thanks

That part? Same as used on the BMW -02 series (1602, 2000, 2002) od cars. Invariably cracked and deteriorated, not always included in the repair kits, had a obscure part #. Like 'Wire said, I think is was an VW Beetle part and more readily obtainable. I used to have a bag of loose grommets squirreled away.

    An ATE oddity...

I have replied and thanked them for their efforts. I have also asked them to update their web site with the kit they supplied to me. The photo on the website shows the rubber even though it is not the exact correct one, one thinks it would be supplied with the kit although looking at the kit diagrame it does not show the rubber, so I think it is only fair that they make that clear when one searches or orders parts.
