Baja 1000 Race View from Mile Post 980

    The race ended early for team 303x as the engine seized from a suspected aftermarket oil cooler failure. But we were ready:

    We discussed options at a secret location in Ciudad Constitucion:

    Drive our replacement motor to San Felipe or:

    We decided to go to:

    And get some race fuel:

    The above picture of the race course is facing north on day two from Mile Post 980 after sunrise. The people camped on the corner got dusted more than a few times. It was eerie at night watching the headlights in the distant and hearing the race vehicles get louder and louder as they approached.
