We did that run in 2015 and 2016. San Francisquito holds a very special place in my heart. The folks left there were very hospitable. The place was wrecked in the hurricane and had not even remotely recovered when we were there. The water was fucking cold! The roads were very sandy in places, but not a problem if you had knobbies. First year, buddy had k60s and was not having fun. We were 2 F800gs and a wee strom. We didn't need gas (brought cans with us) so I have no intel on that.

I may join you guys this time.

There was a flood/river rise. But I don't think it made it into my casita. Some flooding on the south side as usual.

Reports are downtown is all cleaned up, stores stocked with Tecate, etc.

Gonna be a lot of water crossings in the interior!

How are you and Paula doing in Brookings? Did you get any of that rain ? Thanks to it we had an almost smoke free day here and the fire fighters are gaining ground on our side of the fire re-cutting old fire lines from the Biscuit fire.

Still level 3 on the east side of Carpenterville Road, but trending in the right direction at the firelines. Big fire, it won't just lay down and die.

Edit: went to level 2, yay! No smoke or visible fire!

Koot, Good luck, have fun. I'm hoping to at least spectate some of this, maybe down south where the course crosses hwy 1 coming out of La Purisima, around checkpoint 7.

Here is a pdf linky of the best what/when I could find at this point in time. Bikes start at midnight, Wednesday, Nov 15.
