    We're hoping for 32. :D

I'm rider number 2, getting on the bike around RM200, getting off the bike around RM450. We are basing some of our estimates on the 2014 course, which of will get adjusted when they release this year's course on Sept 30th.

Rememeber, that is average over the whole course, so 37.5mph includes stops for tacos, and gas...

I usually average about 22/24 mph on local rancho 2-track, no taco stops. That's rolling time on the bike speedo. 50/60% faster is not easy to do! As I recall, in local races I averaged 28/32, and that was not easy!

Little change of plans for us. We're bringing our pickup and camper across the border and will have our bikes with us in the trailer. Going to stay in an area for multiple days at a time and have a base camp to explore from on small unladened bikes.
Time frame still the same, but we may extend on either end from 3 weeks to a month.

Kinda what Don and Mary did last year. I so regret malfunctioning my funds and not riding down to La Ventana to stay with them and see the sea. On the list for this year,,gotta pay property taxes this month b4 any of these dreams can solidify.

When is the height of the eco-tourista whale season in Baja? End of February, beginning of March?

I think whales go there around the time the Baja 1000 happens,,
swim into the lagoons in Noviembre, and wait for NoPoChicken to come pet their babies en Marzo y Mayo.
Check your schedule,,contact your boss and apply for the "extended stay" clause (in the small print) on your hiring form regarding vacation times and uses. You may also be able to trade sick days for days off added to vacation time without punishment to your long term retirement investiture,, corporate rules,,you will have to read the company mission statement. I think you and Cait are good to go,, I'll get my top bunch of worldwide investigative teams/lawyers specializing in vacation law on the case tomorrow!
