^^and the crappy weather has not even begun yet!:vardy
when it rains every fucking day,,all day long, and all thru the night every damn night.:puke2I get real sick of it!
    I don't know how I'll afford it,,but I really wouldn't mind missing winter altogether.
Another factor,,,could I tolerate tent camping on sunny beaches until June? (take along some good books?)

.oh,add to the list of chores above= turn off the water, drain all water lines and the water heater.

Curious, which areas "off the map" south of M you are considering? There has been heavy damage to the road beds in that area by hurricane flood last couple of years. Comondus are accessible, north of there, not so much.

I've been trying NOT to pay attention to this thread, but,
...my sister & husband are renting a 3-br house in La Paz for 2 months this Winter and they invited me to ride down and stay with 'em.
So without actually deciding anything yet,...what's all you's basic plan? and when?.

Mid February-mid March with pickup/camper, trailer with XR and DRZ loaded, dogs along for the ride. Cruise till we find a place we like, explore on the bikes there for a few/several days, repeat.
    That's the basic plan.

I have friends at San Sebastian. Not sure where they will be taking us but most likely off shore to the islands for a while. Hey AJ. If you have not been to Baja before, you are in for a treat. You will be hooked for sure.

My buddy and I are planning on trucking bikes down as we usually do but rather than leaving the truck in San Diego at a friends, were thinking of driving further south and leaving it some where as we ride bikes down into Baja sur. Any suggestions for a safe place to leave a truck, maybe around Guerrero Negro or Mulege? Don't really want to be worrying about it the whole time. The plan is to go down in mid-January.

    S,
    In Mulege: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=88010

I would not recommend G Negro (security), but maybe someone else knows better.

Another possible, could contact Rice and Beans in San Ignacio about parking, but likely to be RV park rate.

And there is good gated parking on the road into the Loreto air port.

Bay of LA would be a good jump off too, but I have no reccs for there, maybe search on that.

We have left our trucks at Daggets in Bay of LA several times.
I think like $5 a day, plus they have hotel rooms for a good night sleep before and after the ride.
