99.9% of all Arnie's pics have that same characteristic smile! He's going to be missed!!
How bad can it get???
It was an awesome ride!!
Who else would have that smile with a flat?
We will miss Arnie Fry...may he race in peace! He's such a great guy! Prayers for his family and Christie...such a loss for us!
i met arnie in Feb of 2012 at the SD Backcountry Rally. at the time, he was riding a BMW...

Rip Arnie , i don't know him but it's seam a good buddy . I'M planned to go baja in febuary , Do you know where i can find a good map of the baja for road and back road . I'M willing to buy from someone and paie the cost of the map and shipping . Thank's !
for a long time, everyone was using the AAA Baja Map, but the auto club quit printing it.
i have this one on my gps......http://www.lbmaps.com/
National Geographic has Baja Norte and Baja Sur. they are good too.
wish you a safe and fun trip.
NSFW ThanK's , i order from CAA in Montreal and they just have for Mexico , i receive today and for the baja is useless for off road . For u'r trip it will be in febuary 2018 for 2 weeks in baja .
Ride In Peace....... Always a fun time with you Arnie....... Rest Easy Amigo
posted more pics at the DVNR2017 so the noobs will remember who cooked the burger they ate.
Zpower, For your GPS the E32 Maps are really good: http://cartografiagps.com/en/
Unfortunately, good paper maps for Baja are now difficult to find. The AAA maps were pretty good but no longer in print. The Baja Almanac was very good, but also not in print and and the scoundrels trying to sell used copies are usually trying to get $500+ for 'em.
If you don't end up with anything, contact me around Jan and I can send you maps to use if you promise to the riding gods that you will send them back to me!
GalacticGs thank's a lot for u'r trust . I follow advice NSFW and order last night from amazone the Nat Géo Baja Map . I give a look at the E-32 map it's look very complete .
2013 Noob Rally
I plan to be sitting in Arnie's chair at Mike's Sky Rancho on Saturday night. I'll be toasting him with a margarita (or three)...
Sad, met him up in Ramona, sold him some parts from my first 950 super enduro that Todd lite ended up purchasing from me. Stopped riding last year so once in a while I read the rides down Baja. Lived in TJ most of my life, so i started riding dirt roads down there mid 70's.
Last Saturday lost a fellow rider that probably some fellow riders knew from this forum Morgan Langley from Escondido, he rode KTM 1190 adventure and 450EXC. bad accident in Pascual road Saturday morning, Sunday lost battle,
ride safe and enjoy the camaraderie and hobby
Sorry for the loss of your friend Pepe! Safe travels to all...
Indeed incredibly sad times for many this week.
Given Arnie's love of Baja seems fitting to post the details here for those asking. There will be a celebration of Arnie's life on Saturday September 30th, 12pm at the Ramona Fairgrounds located at 421 Aqua Ln, Ramona, CA 92065
This photo brings so many memories...El Zorrillo and I call Arnie our matchmaker because he was that day. I have many great memories with Arnie. I won't forget the time I was trying to crash a ride/party in Laguna Hansen and I hear Arnie yell over as he is getting gas "what are you doing here?" I replied " I just showed up" then he asks "who are with?" and I reply " solo" and we had a good laugh over it. He says, " of course, you just show up".
We will be there for the memorial and plan on leaving San Juan Capistrano at noon on bikes if anyone would like to ride with us, we can meet at our house or a spot nearby. Let's plan a Baja memorial ride.
Would like to ride over to Ramona for sure.
