So I would like to do for the Pacific Crest Trail what the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (that you guys often call the CDR or CDT) did for the Continental Divide (hiking) trail. Basically, I'd like to string together a network of dirt and gravel roads from Baja to Canada, following along the Pacific Crest Trail as close as reasonably possible. The idea is the same as the great divide route - ride border to border on a beautiful route that gets you off highways and into unspoiled backcountry areas. It should be navigable by a 650 class bike or even a GS or vstrom with a brave pilot. I will be working on it and testing it out this summer. No promises. But if I can pull it off, I will share with everyone, free of charge.
