So how low are we down to being able to get one of these for now?? Looks like dealers are cutting deep.

I sat on one the other day - the bars are about four feet long.

Even at sticker price, the Bandit is a lot of bike for the money.

Here in FLA they must not have sold well, I've seen non-abs models at $6999.- with no fees. ABS about $600.- more.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the bike its the global economy. Folks are losing their homes here in the US, their credit has caught up with them and gas is $3 a gallon. Motorcycle sales are down across the board.

The bike is amazing!! I've logged 3k miles on mine so far and love it. Smooth, torquey, fuel efficient and fast, handling ain't too shabby either.

You cannot go wrong on this bike it is everything the glossy rags said it was and more.

My problem is that with most 1200cc inline/4 cyl bikes, the first time I opened up the throttle more than half way with my wife on the back it would be the last time she rode with me. I've found rev'y big bore inline fours unrewarding, awkward, and unforgiving when not ridden fast. That may have changed with FI and particularly with the Bandit's 3700rpm torq peak, but who gives a test ride anymore?

If the Bandit is worthy the crowds will come around just like they did with the Vstrom. Without test rides, it's always a slow process of consumer acceptance.

My local dealer quoted 7100 OTD for a non-ABS. Of course this is in October in snow country.

The Bandit has a smooth almost flat feel to it no need to rev it up in fact it does not seem to like alot of revving. It falls on its face at 8k rpm but pulls very good right off idle. My wife loves the way it makes power very predictable for the passenger. It is a bit cramped for a tall leggy women since it has more of a sport heritage than a touring bike.

That is a great price for that kinda bike! Hard to go wrong with a strong inline four . Yeah that price is starting to pull me away from another bike i was looking to pick up.

My wife would probably kick my ass up around my shoulders if she found out I could've bought a new Bandit for about 2-3 grand less than the FJR I'm picking up this weekend. It's a hell of a bike - guy here at work bought one earlier this year to replace an older Bandit he had and he's over the moon with it.
