You shoulda said (My Half Ass attempt...)
The fuel gauge shoulda been at three bars.
I'm thinking I'll try every 10k miles until i hit 100k. That motor will scream at 10,000 rpm.
y'all are funny!
Oil & filter, chain & sprockets, rear wheel bearings, used rear tire, used rotor and pads. (old one now looks better than the new one)
Still need to clean the air filter and make a closer inspection of that coolant leak. (new hose on order)
Hopefully that'll at least get me through leaf peep'n season.
p.s. odo @ 115,591
Now I know what to do after work today.
A picture that I took of Jock up on the BRP made the front page of a Norton site. Seems he won the longest distance award at a rally he attended. http://www.ntnoa.org/
Weather finally broke down here and just in time for Piratetoberfest. You should add another 1000 to the odo for some shenanigans (see below pix) and wings .
Yup that's a Husky tank and Track Master rear :eek1.
Or how about a 1/2 a GSA?
Well....I trimmed the end off that upper radiator hose where it's been leaking intermittently, looking for some 'new' rubber to clamp onto. Appears the hose isn't my problem. The radiator itself seems to be what's leaking.....now...maybe it's a good thing I'm not down at Biktoberfest right now.
I wondered when you were eventually going to wear out a "hard part" on that bike.
Maybe you should start a dialogue with Suzuki NA about your miles and riding habits. They may want you as an advertising asset. Then you could slip them the , "Oh BTW, my radiator started leaking at 115K". Maybe some sponsorship kind of help - you could be their first 200K Strom rider with a little support.
Missed ya at the Old's Cool Rally.
I hear ya Mark!
....put pepper in it....gonna ride with Reddog* tomorrow.
Nice Banjo! LOOK at all the twisty roads on that map.
Done!...He's headed back for home now....and I'm already back home.
Thanks! We hit a bunch more twisty roads today!!
You wouldn't get it.
Reddog* loading up and getting ready to leave my house on Wed morning....
Zipped through some high cotton before getting to the twisty stuff.....
The cotton gin is still operating at full swing in Fallston.
Some twisty back roads around South Mtn to Lake James on our way to the Linville Gorge in the background.
Looking into some harsh light with Lake James down below.
An 'on the fly' shot of Table Rock
Wally demonstrating his lack of Acrophobia from a top an overhang.
Joining in with the leaf peepers on the BRP.....colors were better on the lower roads though.
Many trees are already bare except for the boring brown oaks.
Don't despair, there's still some color....
This may be my favorite over the shoulder action shot of the weekend.
Apple cider is popular this time of year....
The best part of the BRP is still the roads leading to it IMHO ...here we go down 226A
A fly by of the pavilion as we go back up NC 80
No more twisty shots climbing up...but I am happy to report a very 'low traffic' run!
Table Rock and Hawk's Bill atop a distant ridge in this fly by from the BRP.
Looked like it would be a nice day atop Mount Mitchell.
...and it was except there wasn't much for 'color' being on display from up high.
Brown.....yep the BRP is well 'past peak'
