From Asheville I had a nice clean run down 74A through Lake Lure!
Then found some more scary looking places and made it home right at sunset.
About 240 miles for the day!

Maybe I was scrolling to fast....:huh...but why did the 72 acres become abandoned?
It was all owned by the textile mill that closed in the '60s and burned down in the 70's....I think it's been mostly vacant since the 80's
Edit: the http://henryrivermillvillage.org/ site is cool too and show's the old steel bridge.

Henry River Mill Village = pretty cool place. I'll have to put that on "the list".
The company that I work for just recently purchased and demolished our towns old textile mill. Three blocks from the house.
