What you can't see in this picture of my bike is me laying in a bed in the cabin cursing HappyRidings strawberries and Cigars&Scotchs... scotch.

    Hiya Kevin! :wave

Great pics. I think the only pics I took were of the blue tick hound and maybe the weimaraner.

Glad you made it over, hadn't seen you in quite a while since I've either missed gatherings at the Scrub, or the regular gatherings didn't happen at all a couple of times.

    See ya next time.

Thanks for "making" me venture outside of the S.A.D.D. thread Mark....well worth the effort :) (No doubt, it was hard for me)

Great pics Kevin! (hide those other pics I know you have) Haven't seen so many cool airhead pics since my last Coonbottom!!

Mark - what the hell are you growing on the sides of that handsome face?

Hope to see ya Memorial Day!

:wave Mark and Mr Tuna...good to see ya again at the Old's Cool!! :thumb

:wave Hey Motogirl...better put your shades on when you venture "outside" SADD :lol3 Great to see you and mobeer again too! Had a fun little ride up to the RDV with mobeer on Thursday, here's a few pics. :ricky

My wife rode with me leaving the neighborhood :norton

Then after a slab run to get out of the 'hood we just zig-zagged back roads the rest of the way.

We stopped for a burger in cowboyland.

That was a fun road..look between the poles to see where we came from....

I'm exceptionally bad about not taking any pics while I'm hanging around a rally site. Don't really know why :dunno just didn't take any more pics Thursday.

Friday morning I took a few while waiting for the riders of the "Late Train" to assemble.

Check out this FZ1 prototype that was at the RDV on a shake down run! :deal

It's not complete and a few things were cobbled together quickly just to make the trip.

Didn't hear of any problems with it...he followed me and did just fine! :thumb

Happy Riding between my bike and the FZMonster with the growing sea of tents behind.

In an effort to keep a group ride rolling along there's not as many photo-ops but I still try to toss the camera up for a shot or two. Lots of green now compared to some of my scouting pics. :D

This was Friday's straight away. :lol3

That very quickly turned into lots of this. :ricky

The conditions on Friday were absolutely perfect! :clap Hard packed, tacky and dust free from the recent rains but we enjoyed moderate temps and sunshine!

The guys cleaning up that mess were great and moved off the bridge to let us pass! :bow

...and guess what?.......We still have 14 out of 14 bikes in the group! :thumb

But then we had to suffer through some of this. :puke1

It was for me anyway!! :lol3 Lots of 'em told me that they had fun too so that makes a guy feel good. :norton

Even though I did make 'em suffer through some more slab sections.

Here we are waiting at the end of a steep and dirty mtn crossing, no pics from me but it turns out that one of the old GSPDs took a little nap on the climb. ooops.

We were eating lunch in Taylors Valley when it became apparent that we were missing 4 because of a broken link in the "always wait for the rider behind you at every turn!" rule. :ddog

They missed out on this little road that advtenn pointed me towards that resembles an old RR grade. :ricky

Friday is work day for most folks. :norton

See that dumptruck on the left? We met those riding down through some marbles so while the group was finishing lunch I retraced that section and found it to be clear, which was a good thing. :knary The others were about ready to ride upon my return.

I left the group at a gas station in Damascus and swept the town looking for their bikes but only found some of advtenn's group and no trace of my missing riders. :bluduh

On the way back I had the group follow gps breadcrumbs to where we lost them while I swept that old RR rd and met them there.....no luck. :dunno At least we knew nobody was stranded along the side of the road so we continued on course with 10.

The GSPD that took a nap earlier was also having clutch noises so we split the group on purpose this time with about 1/2 just taking the quickest route and the remaining 1/2 following me through the dirt. :ricky

Wildflowers were worth a stop in many places but all they got was a fly-by.

Saturday it became apparent that the size of my ride group would be at least double that of Friday's 14.... :eek1

Several, including RAW decided that they would pass on the big group and do their own thing. We still still had better than 30 bikes at the start! :uhoh

Not having anybody else that knew my route or any maps or gps tracks I gatherd them up and tried to explain that every rider would be responsible for the rider behind them. :rolleyes

PARTY BOSS lined up on my wheel so as not to be one of the lost! :norton

It did not take long before the ride links began to break and we were split into 3rds. The middle group somehow caught back up to us by some educated guessing and good luck.

I stopped and regrouped in this little gorge last year too....it's a neat place. :thumb

After all....it's where my cabin is. :lol3

Some members of "A" group :norton

A BIG apology to those in the "C" group.....I wish we all could have somehow kept the chain together. :cry

Big props to those in the "B" group 'cause I've always heard that it's better to be lucky than smart! :clap

Seems like 10 is about all that I can keep together for any length of time. :dunno

Did you lose any riders because somebody didn't wait for somebody else?

Last year on Saturday my ride didn't lose anybody because of that! ..but it was a group half the size...

Horns honked behind me so I stopped to see what was up...oh look! an old house!

..as I'm playing with the camera....

...I hear the group rolling again! :clap

...and they roll right on by without their leader! :huh

I managed to work my way up into the middle of the line and figured that PARTY BOSS had things under control.....

...so I just waited to see where he would take us? :evil

:nod Yes! The rider waited at the turn, but when he saw the follower he took off.:nono The follower was having an issue with his luggage and did not see the leader. Luckily my sweep rider new where to meet for lunch. In the end it all worked out.

The two riders were brothers-in-law, it may have been on purpose.:lol3
