want to put some risers on the 990 but don't want to break the bank doing it.

anyone have pics of either of these on their bike?

Mori Designs 19mm bar risers; $20 from Munn racing

"Will fit most KTM models, bolts included are for 950/990 "Hard" annodized. This lightweight riser is designed like a brace to reduce any twisting"

    or,

    KTM 18mm risers (part #
    58401043018), $29.00 from Munn racing

any thoughts on either, or other options i may have missed is appreciated.

    thanks,

    I can recommend this

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7664842&postcount=170

I like the fact that it raises the bar AND moves it a bit forward so you're in a far more natural position than using KTM 18mm risers (didn't work for me)

Two versions (2.0 and 1.25 rise), can't remember the price but it was $60 or so.
It seems he doesn't connect to this forum anymore but on the last page you'll get his contact info.

Buy a set of Rox Risers. One of the best investments I have made for my KTM. Adjustable, strong, and an easy install.

I have the KTM risers, this was not nearly enough, so I put some Rox risers as well wish I would have done that months ago, it's worth the investement and you can take them to your next bike...

    My sentiments exactly!

It's a five minute install and does wonders for riding position on a couple of levels.

ya, but i would rather not spend $70 when i can do it for $20.

plus, call me vain, but i don't like the look of the Rox risers. looks like an after thought...

no one has any input on the Mori risers? for $20 i think i may just have to give them a shot. i don't need much rise, nor do i believe i need to move forward at all.

    thanks,

You can hardly see the riser bar and they work fine. My stock cables fit well also. I am 6' with 30" inseam( long torso) and they make the bar position much more confortable. A great fix for me.:clap

I have one of these the 3,2 cm version. I´m 180, and have a 32" inseam..

I like em. You can add some more height yourself by inserting spacers under the handlebar mount if needed..

Anyone find a taller handlebar that mimics the stock handlebar sweep? I have bar risers, but need an 1" or so more.

Are there peg lowering kits? Not that I want to lower the pegs much since they already scrape pretty easily on pavement.

Rox could easily be the last riser you ever buy. Function before form or.....

I have the KTM risers and find them just right, cheap, simple, job done.

But it all depends on your size at the end of the day.

Same here. Note that you can run into problems with your throttle cables getting too tight with almost any riser. Some people flip over the throttle to put the cables on the bottom of the bar. There are some space problems with that. A better solution is to reroute the throttle cables to the right side of the frame head.

    {KTM risers, before I moved my throttle cables to the right.}

Can be a problem with ABS brake lines too, even with 1.25 risers.
    This worked for me:

Has anyone installed the RoxRisers with a set of Highway Dirt Bike hand guards. I just installed the HDB guards on both KTM's. Makes me feel much more protected when I drop the bike now.
