The Roadhouse serves a good breakfast too. I would recommend it as a breakfast stop for riders if they can handle putting in 2-3 hrs (about 150km) before breakfast.

Gord, how was Tranquille Rd? That was my original route before I decided to go over Batchleor Heights.

The hoodoos you speak of Chile are probably the ones on the Deadman-Vidette Rd. which is close to the route this year. Did Deadman on last year's ride.

Nice video Mike. This is looking good.

A word of advice - RealtorGordonB is an experienced rider but his playground is gnarly off-road single track and a small bike.

    Just my opinion of course.

I'm still working on it, but the crayon marks I did on my map smudged when I put it in my scanner.

Terrific job on the video Mike. Those roads you have selected look great.

Oh, and you show some real potential as a cowhand the way you herded those beasts along the trail.:lol3

It's really simple actually. Most of my shots are from a tripod that has it's neck extended while strapped to my camera knapsack. Some of the side shots are from a monopod strapped to my luggage and extended out to the side. I'm not a big fan of shooting with a camera mounted on my bike. Too hard to isolate vibration on the gravel roads. I do have helmet mounts but they interfere with the flip face.

Thanks, Manx. Everytime I come across a cow on the road I remember a story a friend had from an off-road race a few years back. He was racing the Monkeywrench Cross Country up near Lytton, when he burst into an open area on the course and startled a cow there. It decided to high tail it out of there by way of the only way out, which also was part of the race course. So for a short time my friend was neck and neck with a Holstein...

...Until it body checked him into a tree. He then spent half an hour getting his bike back on to the race course.

I never trust those creatures, they just might one day want payback for all those burgers I've eaten.

I know it will be tons of fun, but I don't think I'll be able to make it out for this one..... Enjoy your desert heat, I'm heading for the far north in early August!!:rofl
I have just over 2 weeks off to play with, so I plan to ride thru BC to the Yukon, and if.....IF I make it that far and it feels good, I'm going to try for Inuvik!!! This will leave me very broke indeed......Have fun guys!:clap

Mechanic, if you make it out to the Island this year, give me a shout! I'd be happy to show you around.
