IDC if I'm a brand snob. Honda may not be the fastest or the most high tech bikes, but they are the most reliable and maintenance is a breeze compared to some of the newer bikes out there.

Seriously? Ah, you have an older XL-R. Yeah.

Try working on a VFR without a double-jointed midget assistant.

I have two BMWs plus my car is a BMW.

Was afraid people would think I was a brand snob so I diversified a bit and bought a Porsche a couple of months ago.

I've owned one Honda, two Kawasakis, and one Ural.

I wouldn't call myself a brand snob, but I will probably always have a Ural plus one other.

Most of my bikes (5/8) have been Ducs, but I wouldn't call myself a brand snob because I don't think they are better for everyone, they're just what I prefer. Light, fast, and sexy is what I like, but for others longer range, off-road capabilities, comfort, cost, etc may be more important factors, so other brands work for them. I've met some off-putting riders, but any bike is a good bike at some level.

The stupid is strong in this one. :lol3

Why is it that nearly everything you post on ADVR is some type of ignorant, narrow minded, judgemental diatribe ? It's got to be difficult going through life with such disdain for the choices of other human beings that you share this planet with. Live and let live... You will be happier and healthier for it.

Poll is flawed, what if you had the same number of BMWs...Hondas and Yamahas over the years? I don't want to count back but I think that would be my case.

Strictly BMWs for the last 28 years but altough I'll keep this one, the next one may just be another Honda or for a first, a Suzuki.

No snobbishness here, I can't afford to be a snob!:gerg

The "biker" guy in the shop where I work will only ride Harley's. That's ok with me but right now he has no bike, he sold his beautiful '78 superglide and a ironhead sportster because it's a girls bike. The guy hasn't had a bike for ten years. I have suggested a different brand bike or an older, less expensive Harley but no, he has his mind made up, it's going to be a newer Harley or nothing! Talk about limiting your choices. :dunno

Well lets see. Ive owned a Suzuki, Yamaha and 2 Hondas.

    GSXR600
    YZ250
    CRF230
    XR650L --Own it now.

I have always been partial to Hondas, but I now own one of the only ones i would consider owning since the death of the VFR800. Next one will prolly be a Yamaha, they are my second choice, plus I love the S10. :D

I will own one too. I want a 6th gen in White. Saw one once and fell in love. If i dont get the s10 first ill have me a VFR. But my Dirt junkie side brings me closer to the Yamaha. I wish Honda would bring a twin ADV bike to the US. But i dont want to start a whole diff thread! :lol3

I'm not really a brand snob. I've owned 3 Kawasakis, 3 Hondas, 2 Buells and 1 HD. I don't think I will buy another inline four. Nothing personal, I just prefer the character of the v-twin. So, I guess I am a bit of a snob.

I'm not a brand snob, like others have said, I just buy the bike that rings my bell. Heck I've owned at least one bike from each of the big 4 Japs, and nearly owned as many Euros outright - but I've put way more kays on the Euros. My most-bought brand is Triumph.

I liken them to the opposite sex.
I never rode a bike or a woman that i did not enjoy......even the bad ones were still alot of fun.:D
I have had more BMW than anything else and it makes no sense because the nearest dealer was two days and a 7 hour ferry ride away. There was never a K, F or an oilhead sold here until two years ago. We have a very good dealer now and i am grateful.
I own whatever works for me. Honda scooter around town. Klr for the winter duty. K bikes for day trips and the GSA for long dirty rides.

For me I have 5 each of Honda and Yamaha
    4 of Suzuki
    2 Kwakas
And 1 each of Buell, BMW, Aprillia, Sachs, and TGB.

Currently including unregistered I have at least part ownership in all four japanese brands.

But I would like to own other makes as well, I have a bit of yellow fever because they are cheap but I lust after everything.

Here is the list..5 BMW..6 Honda...3 Yamaha...1 Ducati...2 Triumphs(Hinkley models)...1 BSA....If I factored in the ammount of time owned and mileage done...the BMW is the winner on my list...that would be an interesting sub heading to the poll....quick check...I have had BMW,s appx twice as many years as Honda and put more than twice the mileage on them...20 years an BMW.s and appx 102 thou miles compared to Honda at appx 11 years of ownership and 40k....very interesting...okay what does this tell me besides the fact that I am an old guy???

I've owned over 50 bikes in the last 55 years. BSA, Suzuki, Monkey Wards, Honda, Yamaha, Harley, Kawasaki, SYM, Ural.

Now on my third Kawasaki W650 and my first hack, a 2012 Ural Yamal.

Like them all and don't know what the next one is going to be.
