I thimk he will be at least two days in Van, as he needs to do tires.
Great guy with lots of desire to see all he can. He is a chocolatier and baker by trade. Really knows his stuff.

I have a neighbor that is a chocolate maker by trade, once in a while he drops off a few samples...

He should take his time in Van as the long range weather for the mid /upper Island doesn't show improvement until Thursday...

Hey you are welcome, anytime. I did underestimate the time, apologies.
The mighty KLR is gentle on the road surface. Glad you enjoyed it though.
    Any pictures?

Nope, all day yesterday was nice here and today too for half a day until the showers started again just after lunch... My plan will be to ride down and meet the guys in Sayward on Thursday evening and do a few days of riding, camping and BS... If things fall into place, the timings work and the weather is good, it should be a good outing...

Yes the rear tire was a bitch to get on and the front was easy. Han's had a dead battery too but I had a nice extra gell battery here so he was on his way. Hopefully tonight we will go for a ride together.

Great to see the photos. Get a couple of alligator clips for that walmart compressor. I had my doubts about that original battery especially running the USB charger and the heated gloves. I changed a rear MItas on the side of the Dempster and yes it took some time and patience:eek1 and dish washing soap for a tire lube.

You need some kind of tire lube for those heavy duty tires. Its all part of the adventure:D

Windex works great for lube for tires and evaporates so it doesn't leave any film....... :D

I met up with David as planned and we rode to a camping spot along the ocean... A few showers didn't spoil the day, sunset at the beach..
The day 2 weather started out perfect..

Then we had some light showers.. I had to seek shelter under a rockbluff...
And the evening of day 2 is back to perfect weather.. Tomorrow out for more...
