<p>Here is a plot from Belthorpe SF. Running from home through Commisioners Flat Rd to Belthorpe Range Rd to Mountford Rd, then back up to Branch Ck and over to the Belthorpe Turnoff via a couple of creek crossings. Some roads were closed so we got lost <img src="plugins/editors/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-embarassed.gif" border="0" alt="Embarassed" title="Embarassed" /></p>

<p>John is another GS riding bloke that has bought a smaller unit to get into the narly areas with. This is him on his new DR650. Nice bike, just needs a safari tank!!</p>

<p>We stopped and had a rest at each of the many creek crossings. This is one of the first coming from the Kilcoy end.</p>
    <p><img src="http://adventurerider.com.au/images/stories/Belthorpe0404/04042010348.jpg" border="0" /></p>
<p>The country in there never looks better than it does now after the rain we have had. Makes for slippery conditions though!!</p>
    <p><img src="http://adventurerider.com.au/images/stories/Belthorpe0404/04042010349.jpg" border="0" /></p>
<p>Lots of fresh clean water and masses of moss and lichens.</p>

<p>Very rocky sections that are a struggle on the GS (Sunny Coast ADV breakup ride I found that out), piece of cake on the littluns'</p>

<p>Most of the crossing have been freshened up with some new road base and rock. A lot of water been through here in that last few months.</p>

I did this Branch creek ride today from kilcoy end and came out onto Belthorpe west road.

What a ride, slippery, rocky and quite rough.
Most of it was either first or second gear on my old Tenere, did not stop much so can not report much on leaches

It is on my Tracks4aus as a dashed line and the last section is now quite different as it comes back out onto West Belthorpe about 5km further up the valley.

No phone reception. Would not recommend this ride for novice unless with other good riders and not for bigger bikes, would not contemplate unless you had reasonable knobbies due to greesy track.

It was hard work on the Tenere, but a real good enjoyable challenge. The run down west Belthorpe was good quality forestry trail and a very nice ride.
