Good ride guys. Yes that was fun dicing w/ my 9?0 brethren.
Hey Biggie, i found Gobbler's know. It was in my pants. It's always in the last place you look.
FYI: It was the hill just to the west of where we stopped. I don't see a road up to the top. When i say i've been there before i must be thinking of something else.

AWESOME day guys. Feeling like this tonight: :clap :roflThe great thing about being a supernoob is the thrill of the "first time". Sex, racing cars, whatever - nothing compares to the first time. Just glad I got to do it right - great trail, great weather and most importantly, great guys. Thanks for all the great tips too. I felt SOOO much more confident by the end of the day - really took a big leap in terms of technique and comfort today for sure. Really looking forward to riding with you all again.

If anyone's up for the Pioneertown-Big Bear ride next sunday let me know.

I'm glad you enjoyed your first day in dirt Glen. I remember mine like yesterday. It has been almost 2 years.

I have a house in Landers and will be up there during that weekend. Our plan is to do a ride day on Saturday but it will be a noob day since I'm planning on teaching my wife how to ride on the dirt for the first time as well as my street biking neighbors. We'll probably just be riding the roads around Giant Rock. I might be able to get away for a blast up New Dixie Mine road or the south end of JV if you want to come down the hill and meet up on Saturday.

Breakfast at McDonald's, Sierra Exit on 15 Fwy. I didn't see Eric since DV Noob's Rally. It was a nice surprise. And the new member, Glen. :wave

Might get down to Anza Borrego this weekend for a day ride with dad. Several times, we've come across mountain bikers down there. I still don't understand how you guys can pedal for so many miles in all that sand. Seems to me like it would be one long push :bow

Wasn't sure if you still had the moto. Let me know whenever you want to get out for a ride :deal

Yep, we pushed our bikes for about 10 miles on that trip. Was wishing I had the moto many times that day. Expect for the climb up Pinyon or whatever it's called. I'd never make it up that thing on the 990! We even ran out of water! I thought I'd have to use my SPOT, but luckily we made it out.

Yep, still got it. Or it's got me. Not sure which anymore.

The slide on Pinyon is one-way down for most folks anyhow :augie

Just read thru your Tour Divide report. Reminds me that I should get out on my MTB once in awhile :rolleyes
Pedal with me and i'll make you look like a climbing hero :muutt :lol3
