UPDATE JUNE 8, 2017 In order to collect information regarding the camping situation in Cody and Big Timber, I have created an online survey form. It also allows for the input of and ICE contact or other information. (In Case of Emergency). Optional. If you just want to say your "IN", the survey is the place to do it. But its time to post a thread for planning and discussion. Can't say if it's going to be bigger (hope not), better (hard to do), longer (PLEASE NO), harder (promise(?) - no "Trails From Hell"), but be assured whatever develops will be different! It's getting more difficult to find something new, we really capped that one last year. Planning will be sure to emphasize a general lack of pavement where ever possible unless said stretch of pavement has some form of redeeming qualities. Always looking for suggestions and interesting new segments or if there are old segments that beg to be revisited, let us know. But to give a tease, I went back in the way-back-machine... And here is a Google Map link to show the results. A Google Map of all seven prior rides from 2010 through 2016 where you can dive in and bring up individual years and zoom in and around to your heart's content on these cold winter months ahead dreaming of a summer ride in Montana. ... A note for any new potential riders, this ride is a totally self sufficient ride with no official status or formality. Be prepared and ready to go it on your own at any time, any place. No fees, no guarantees, just good riding and a really great bunch of co-riders that show up from all over. As this year's route develops, we'll post developments on this thread and a Blog dedicated for 2017 which will eventually include a GPX file being made available a few weeks prior to the ride date. We have set the third Saturday of July every year for long range planning, but at this point that is all we have. Feel free to post any questions/comments. We may listen, we may not. That's just the way we are. Take a look at the 2016 BOM Blog and it will lead to a lot of background information, ADV links and picture links. This year's central info Blog is here: BOM2017 Blog.
