    Gidday all,
    I need some advice here.
I have a zumo550 which was purchased in the UK and has all the European mapping. My missus and I try to get to Europe every couple of years, so it is useful.
I have for a long time, been put off buying any Oz mapping, due to what I thought was over the top pricing.
Anyway, I've decided that I should do something about it, but I don't know which way to go with this.
Buy the Garmin topo maps ?
    Get shonky ?
Just bite the bullet and get a shiny new navigator ?
Just to screw things up a bit more, I no longer have a computer with any Microsoft programmes and I don't think that Apple support any Garmin.
    Any constructive advice is appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Gav.

Youre not telling us how you use your GPS, what features do you need?

Garmin do some real dumb things, one of them is not alienating Apple users. Basecamp works fine on a Mac, the question is can you use Basecamp :lol3

Once you have basecamp operating on your mac ...
    you can get
OSM maps (free) that will work on the mac.

Shonky and Tracks 4 Australia ... I don't think there is a version for the mac?

Gidday Gav, Apple do support the Garmin software. I have a five year old BMW Nav IV (Zumo 660) and use Apple to update lifetime maps. I'd go the new shiny Navigator V just personally.
