I was on photo bucket and don't do enough to justify 399 a year... Any advice on where to post so I can share the occasional photo on Advrider etc. Appreciated

I use flickr. Works well, it's free and has the bb code right on the site for easy posting. It puts a little tag line after the pic as you can see below. It's easy to delete if you don't like it. Most of the time I don't bother

[IMG] If you view your picture in Flickr, there is a arrow (up and to the right) at the bottom. When hovering over it with your mouse button it says "Share Photo". Click it, select the BBCode option and picture size. Copy the link and put in your post.

After using Photobucket for many years to post pics on this and a few other motorcycle forums, Photobucket is no longer a free service requiring upgrade to over $30 a month to post pics with third party access. Plus they slam you with advertisement popups to get you to pay about $3 a month to even use the service.

Because I only occasionally post pictures of interest I will not sign onto any of that. Is there any way to post pics without having to pay an exorbitant charge such as this?

Smugmug gets good recommendations and (still?) hosts advrider.com but it charges 3.99 x 12 for yearly payment or 5.99 for monthly payments for the cheapest plan. It is not that much but many not much can become too much, if you know what I mean. You can purchase hosting for your own website, with photo sharing, for less.
An option that I had forgotten about is to use program like Mamp to host your pictures on your own home PC. Your ISP might complain if you get lots of traffic.
