Not sure about great deals on a new beta but I got a little discount and plenty of discounts on the BYOB stuff on my 14 Beta 300rr from Franks Motorbikes. I had the choice between the KTM and Beta. The Beta was sure the right choice for me and it came with a plate. No hoops to jump through. Frank will do you right.

    It came with a plate?????!

Only reason i wouldnt consider selling my wr300 an upgrade is it came with a plate. But if the beta 300 two stroke comes with a plate I will be cleaning the Husky up for craigslist this weekend. What did you pay for your 300 otd?

The 2014 300rr was 7500 with the Beta discount + damn sales tax and licensing. I loaded mine up with BYOB bling so cant really compare cost. BYOB did discount everything I added and installed it free. Got my bike at Franks set up and ready to ride. Yes Plated :clap The Beta 300rr came from the factory with High/Low, Brake lights and horn as well and already wired for blinkers. It also has a happy button that actually works every time. I havnt even tried the kick start yet.

For a KTM try Northwest European Cycles in Tacoma.

They Retail 7999 and Beta gave a 250 discount but then shipping/dock was something like 300 so was kind of a wash. I just posted the bars to show it came with switch for High/Low, horn and blinkers as well as you can see the brake light switch on the brake master cyl. Also has a rear brake light switch and both work. The spedo also has a high/low indicator and blinker indicator built and wired in. Just saying if you plan to plate a 300XC-W all these items are going to cost along with the inspection.

It's so tempting and awesome, haha. Compared to the 200exc what do you think? That's what I have right now. Mostly ride walker and Capitol.

Cant complain about he 200 but I push th scales at 240 and at 50 slowing down so the nice low end grunt and ability to short shift moved me to the 300.

What kind of range to you have with the stock 2.5 gallon tank? I'm getting up close to seven decades and after pounding through knarly rocks here in AZ yesterday on my modified DR650, I'm looking for something 100# lighter :rofl However, I need at least 100+ mile range. TIA

I wouldnt push it past 50 miles with the stock 2.5 tank on my Beta. Maybe with a big tank and a smart carb?
