I have been looking for a different muffler (slip on) for my GS have seen a few talking about some but not much info. Also when changing from the stock muffler will it require a different fuel map?

    Suggestions and linky please.

    TIA

Akropovic, hands down winner for looks and sound. No mapping changes required. BTW, I would not expect noticeable performance improvements from any slip-on for the F8. You might get something if you changed the plumbing all the way to the exhasut headers - not sure.

Spot on. The headers are the major point of restriction in my opinion. There is also a large internal baffle in the Akrapovic muffler. Removing it also makes a substantial difference in both sound and performance. Doing both gave me about 1500 more rpm to play with.

For sure the baffle has to go to get the sweet sound. Very much like the Termignoni on the DUcati.
