Ducati does sound good, so do few others that come to mind, Norton, Laverda, the new three cylinder Triumphs, Guzzi's, my 990 adv with a single can wings exhaust without the db killer, not too loud either!:D

How's about grabbing me one of those pizza's from across the street?

I'd have never in a million years imagined it, but I'm in love with the R1 Crossplane sound too.

If we are talking strictly stock and not full termi racing systems, then Ducati has to be one of the most *OVER* rated, especially modern Ducatis which all seem like they are choking on air while getting on the throttle.

It certainly doesn't compare to something like the Tuono V4 R which just sounds sinister in comparison. Again, comparing stock to stock.

I agree. My Monster was a wimpy sounding thing till I put the Super Trapps on. My Breva, on the other hand, has a nice little burble at idle and a good rasp when getting on the throttle.

I definitely agree with everyone else that loves the 2 valve Ducatis, they sound simply amazing stock.

The one that makes me laugh the most though is my PC800. Every time I ride near a wall or object so I can actually hear the sound bouncing back, I feel like I'm riding one of the little flying cars from the Jetsons.

I love the sound of the stock exhaust on my K75. Wouldn't change it for anything.

Saw two guys on Laverda 1000, black and red one, black was immaculate, looked like brand new. It was at gas station , beautiful sound they make.

the 6 cylinder howl of the honda CBX has always been my favorite, but I do like my PC 800 because you can barely hear it, think it is even quieter than the 1500 goldwing I had

of course I am also of the opinion that anything louder than the exhaust on my 10 liter V8 diesel motorhome should be banned from the road, and it is not exactly quiet

To me, the best sounding exhaust was always the stock QUIET exhaust that
came on my R90 BMW when I bought it new in 1974.

A guy at work has a CCM R30, the standard exhaust is made by Remus and surely has to be too loud to be original but apparently is. Lovely big single cylinder sound from it.

maybe not the best, but for me a big surprise was the sound of the Husky Nuda 900R. The dealer started it up for me to show me how nice it sounds. and he was right!

    A straight 4 Excelsior.

Those early American 4's turning over at low rpm's are very unique sounding.
