I too made some sport bike riders blink today.

I decided to leave the Vrod resting happily and take out the Old Girl. A 1980 (Harley-Davidson) 80" shovelhead motor in '79 cases, '69 4 speed trans, who knows what year FLH frame, narrow glide single disc front (chrome lower legs man!), mostly unknown year FLH rear, 1980 Drag Specialties open belt drive, Barnett clutch, drag bars on short risers yo.
I saw headlights approaching at a high rate of speed, a growling pack of repliracer demons on speed!!!
I drifted to the right side of my lane, and waved in a friendly manner as they passed in my lane. They waved back in appreciation and continued on their merry way.

Later down the road they were stopped, I checked to see if they were broke down (no) or needed water (it's the desert after all), they knew I could blow them off on a mid 60's schwin bicycle had I wanted, my Wife/Chic knew as well.

I'm pretty sure I saw one of them blink.

They had fun, I had fun. My Wife/Chic didn't have to beat on my for trying to hold them up : )

Now of course we all understand that I could of smoked them guys on my slightly vintage Harley and they'd be dead meat if I'd been on The Mighty Vrod Road Racer Supreme. I am The Man, My Woman knows this and no one may outrun me regardless of their ride : ) unless I let them.

I love making sportbike riders blink. It's my new hobby.

I counted, and I blinked eleven times while I read this story. And it was completely involuntary every time. You, sir, are The Man!!! :lol3

After reading this thread, I will bet on two things:
1: The op will never be back
2: He will never sit down again.

You don't know the half of it. It's so impressive that I'm impressed.

Some day I'll regale you with my Vrod trials riding. Unimaginable to most. Completely incredible. Actually defies physics.
Indeed............ I make trials riders blink.
Don't even get me started on my motocross skills.

I'm skeptical of this story. MAYBE if it was an anniversary edition VROD, but you mentioned nothing about it.

I understand your skeptisism, that's just normal.

I do indeed have a 100 year anniversary sticker on my (orange with yellow flames) tank (air box cover). It's titled as an '04, but it was made in Dec. '03. 100 years of Harvey-Diddleson goodness.

So there ya go, I'm just incredibly incredible and you now know it.

    So there, I mentioned it.

I'm John and I ride trials on my 100th aniv. Vrod. Blink if you must.

    Glad we settled that.

One of the things I like the most about this life we lead is the solitude it affords us. I have been high in the San Juan mountains, sitting on an outcropping, and felt like I was the only person on earth. The ride to and from these remote areas taught me much about myself.

I am finally realizing the philosophical and introspective benefits to riding a motorcycle alone. I'm heading to the desert southwest here in about 8 days, and I am actually looking forward to the seat time to just think.
