Does anyone know if installation of a BRP sub mount and Flexx handlebars will require a longer throttle cable and clutch line? If I am not mistaken, that combination raises the bars about 1"

    Hello to everyone

i,m interested to get a Xtrainer, still undecieded between the 250 or 300. I'm used to ride a CRF250l and i'm worried that the 300 might be too much, this will be my first 2 stroke.

I have a concern also about the seat height, I'm 5'6. Between 31 to 32 inch inseam 80 to 85 kg. Will the Xtrainer fit me fine.

    Regards

The Xtrainer should fit you fine. Its one of the shortest enduro bikes out there.

I"m just guessing (as I've never ridden the 250 XT), but there probably isn't too much difference between the two motors from the seat of your pants.

You might benefit from a G2 Throttle Tamer. It takes some of the bite out of the initial throttle response. It felt fine to me, but to some people its a "must do" mod.

I'm 5' 11" and I'm flat footed on mine. I think you're going to need to lower it to be flat footed.

I hope I wont be on my tippy toes, close to flat footing would be nice.

Close to flat-footed in your MX boots, but not your sneakers. It's basically spot on with a Honda CRF 230f for seat height

    Pretty good guess.

I was assuming the 250cc size gets around license restrictions in other countries, so it makes it more marketable.

    That'll suck.

I know one Beta dealer I talked to managed to sell a 250 Xtrainer by using parts off one of the other Beta 2Ts, but that was probably not under normal circumstances

If you're doing off road only I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm 5'8 and stock xt is perfect for all off road maneuvers. Keep in mind that the suspension is very soft. I think you will be fine.

Well I know that it main purpose is off road, and that's what I want it for but in order to go to the trails I need to ride it on road. But here I get from the dealer road legal.

My wife is about your height but you have a longer inseam. We added the 2" lowering kit from Beta and adjusted the spring rates to match her weight and she is very close to flat footed with her Sidi boots with enduro soles. You should have no problem with the seat height. If it is a bit too high, you can add the 1" lowering kit and you'll be set.

What lowering kit did you used? Did you installed it yourself?

Had a great squirt in the sand and single track last weekend. I was invited to a local ride put on by a bunch of guys called 'Team Camel Toe' It was a fundraising ride for mens mental health. Great fun!!!!!!!! Here is a short clip of some sand and single track riding we did :

Yep apparently. Lots of mental illness in Australia these days; and suicide rates are higher than ever for the guys - suicides in Australia occur among males at a rate three times greater than that for females. I had a good friend of mine step out under a truck wheel when he was in his mid 20's... The more awareness and help these guys can get the better.

I am with you on that. Riding my bike makes me feel so good. At the end of the ride I am buzzing with what i call the 'after ride glow'.
