2-3 day camping ride to Big Bear from San Diego area - good trails up Thomas Mtn to Idyllwild to Big Bear - (see DS maps below) that are big bike friendly and once we get to Big Bear you can decide how much you want to push it. Intel says south gates may still be closed so we will adapt as we go.

The date for this ride is April 26th-28th. I figure spending 2 nights in Big Bear at same campground, one day riding up and one day playing in Big Bear then heading home on Sunday. Campground space should be no problem at Holcomb.

This route is from San Diego but feel free to join us along the way or in Big Bear if that works out better for you.

Open to all, I'm planning on getting reacquainted with Big Bear after a 15 year hiatus so I'm sticking to some easy sight seeing trails.

Working on getting away for Saturday, come up in the AM for the day. If we make it we'll be there. If not, have a great time.

Weather looks good...70-75 and 39-41. Lots of sun and no wind.

Have you already rolled through Beaumont? I'd love to tag along the rest of the way if you haven't yet.

The camping group is already there at Holcomb Valley Campground tonight.

A few road riders are going up tomorrow morning, you're welcome to meet us in San Dimas at the Starbucks off Foothill blvd just past the 57: http://www.starbucks.com/store/11175/
    Leaving at 8:30.

Look for a white tiger xc and a red GS. Not sure what the other bikes are. We are riding the roads up there.

You'll be fine. Come on out and carve some mountain roads with us.

We'll crash the camp group at Holcomb first, hopefully they'll still be there. Otherwise we'll do some exploring and meet up with them later.

Hessian and I are going to come in via the back route off road.
We will swing by the camp ground doubt we will get there before they take off so maybe we will cross paths.

Hope to see some of you wankers tomorrow.
