Big Adv bikes seem to be heading down the same evolutionary path as 4wds. Putting aside oil leaks, reliabilty and whitworth bolts, we did have capable off road vehicles off the shelf 30 years ago, and look what they turned into:

Heavier and less capable. But bucket load more sales features. That must be what sells

What follows is the end of time, immediately, 'cos that's how long this fucking KTM is taking to get to showrooms.

    I know plenty...

Owners are always justifying purchase or emotionally invested.

True... and that was enough of a "left field" answer - you're on the test team.

:photog :clap team member number two... but you get short straw duty - the Ducati' is yours to baby sit. :rofl

bikes should be standardized (tyres), set up suspensions and reasonable protrection fitted (if not standard) but not farkled to the gunnels... and NO top boxes or hard cases - let the masses decide on luggage for themselves - this should be about the "bikes". So I would advocate a standardised "soft luggage" set up for all... each guestt/test rider would pack their own (set a nominated max weight recommendation) and shift their pack from bike to bike as the week rolls on.

That would be fair/real world comparison I reckon.

you bitch :clap :lol3 :smooch :imaposer
