thanks for taking me along, in spirit anyway.
Been through the Monument Valley area on a big bike. Just recently became aware of Muley point but your pics were the first I've seen to make me realize I need to be there. Got a week off for good behavior next month, leaning towards Ut-awe . Thanks for posting.
I'd make sure a tractor like yer GS would make it first...
Great stuff guys!!!!!!
This is going to be good!
Another Big Dog Report.
This one looks like a real winner.
Now that I have a "little bike" I can start doing rides like this.
Keep this inspiration coming.
Some day I want to grow up and be just like you..
In for more!
Our riding season up in the frozen north has just about come to a close. Fortunately my little WRR finally has a warm place to sleep, in a heated garage no less!
Man oh man, you can hardly beat another BD RR! Two of us plan on UTBDR next year (did COBDR this year) and this report will give us some good ideas for the loop. Thanks Mark!
Scott, can't wait to see the ranch when you get 'er opened, and thanks for taking time to fill me in on the Tucson doin's...
I can't wait to hear what happened. Did someone tell you that you can't use the maps in your GPS again? ala hanging woman w/ Dr Rock.
Hoped I would bump into you on the trail, looks like i missed the best part. I missed southern Utah due to the rains
That hanging woman was something else eh?!!
I will answer that for Mark!.....That waypoint is actually a Guest Ranch that My wife and I and 2 other couples are working on purchasing!!!.....Lord willing------and the creek don't rise( well not too much anyway) it will be up and running in the spring!!!
lol. Mark's comments certainly leave some room for interpretation. Good thing you cleared that up.
This thread was perilously close to being bumped from the front page. bump
Good stuff Mark. Thanks!
Great rr as usual Mark - absolutely stunning photography -- can't dream of getting off work long enough to do a out west but hope to do a 2 day or something around home here sometime -- man we liked your katy trail rr - Me and the little Woman are going to do a day or 2 ride over there soon - bet it will be beautiful this fall!!! might take the grandkids.
Great RR so far.
Thanks for sharing!
Reaching Valley of the Gods... it was awesome!
The weather was perfect.. and we were having a blast.. easy riding but wonderful views...
It don't matter how many times you see photos from the same awesome places.. they are always good!
We powered up the Moki Dugway.. headed to Muley Point..
We found the most perfect camp spot in the whole entire world.. right here.. not another person around! After setting up camp we had a nice hot meal and shared stories until it was time to call it a day!
This was a typical sight at camp... seems BigDog and Dingweed were setup and ready to eat before Bud & I.. but I think they've had some practice! They were a well oiled machine, partners in everything they did.. I don't know how they live apart really... It's a huge blessing to find a riding buddy you can get so close to and enjoy ever second of the day with no matter the situation. I bet if they both followed each other off a cliff they'd be "Wahooooo"'n all the way down! hahaha!
Lot's of stories..and laughter that night..
BigDog or Dingweed always had hot water ready for me..
The views were endless..
but it was time to close our eyes.. and look forward to tomorrow.
