To start this ride off---I think a view of this will
set the stage and mood of this Southern Arizona
    and New Mexico Ride.

Perhaps we rode some of the same places ole'
    Poncho and Lefty did.

Me and Randy rode about 1,700 miles along the border of New Mexico and Arizona border. There are quite a few places I've been dreaming about that we got to visit on this ride.

I got to put my new Yamaha WR250R to it's test as a full on adventure bike.
The weather was awesome as we rode in freezing temps sometimes with rain, snow, sleet and glazed black ice.

Here are a few pictures to also set the mood---the whole story will follow.
And yes---we have a run in with the law as probably did Poncho and Lefty.

Hey Mark, how big do those Saguaro cactus get? They look to be quite tall but have yet to stand next to one.

Looking forward to your report :lurk:lurk

The Seguaro cactus can grow to heights of 30 ft. and be 200 years old.
It is humbling to stand next to one. They grow about 1 inch per year.
When water is absorbed, the outer pulp of the Saguaro can expand like an accordion and can increase in weight by a ton.

Cannonshot--hi buddy. I invited Cannonshot but he was all tied up--and it was very short notice.

I had a hundred or more hot springs marked all over in Arizona in my gps--but we didn't get to the one near Sheep Bridge.

Don't flounder on all the popcorn---I'll get to more tonight. :D
