Pretty sure its just an old semi truck that was used for logging and caught fire.

Not sure of the make, but I believe it was the 4-mule power model:

This one is some sort of old twenties auto with what I THINK is a side-valve engine and converted into something for mining use:

Late '40s- early '50s Flxible bus now being used as a deer camp. It's way back in the woods, down a gnarly U.P. logging road, so the mystery to me is how they got it there.

No idea what this is, but it's been ther a while.

Sorry there's no bike in the pics, but I was on mine when I took them.

    Cheers,

i looked around google and i was going to guess approx 1946 international truck... the external door hinges fit.. but then the lines in the dash didn't jive with with the posters pics ... :doh

    guessing a 1940 chev truck

other trucks of that era had lines in the dash but more than the chev

and the dash from the 1940 chev seem to match long dongers post..

The Canol Road was started in the summer of 1942, and was abandoned in 1945. So I would think your estimate is about as good as it gets....

Old international delivery/box truck. I'll have to try and get back up there in the fall/winter so I can get a better pic.

While at the moment I do not have any pictures to add, It always amazes me that people just abandon vehicles in the middle of nowhere. I always think that it was new at one time, people manufactured it, bought whatever it with money, owned it and needed a use for it, then just, "Ah fuck it." Love these kinds of threads though. Keepem' coming.
