This "restored" Shell station is hidden in a neighborhood in Whetstones, AZ. My Superhawk dresses it up a bit.

Both are old general stores, but had gas pumps out front.

You find the coolest stuff. I need to visit Georgia again soon. Thinking of moving to Savannah in the near future. I love that area!

Thanks, It helps to spot things when you ride slow, like me.:rofl These old stores are located all over the place just a few miles apart. About the distance one might want to walk or ride a mule. As roads got better and cars got better, they slowly closed as it was easier to get to the larger stores in town. PM me if you come this way.

I am fascinated by that aspect of history, and I have lived in the South for the past 25 years...20 total in Texas and 5 at Ft. Benning during the late 80's and early 90's. Have been to Savannah 3 times in the past year. Love the feel of the town and the history of the area. Was just there visiting with my navy pilot son this summer.

I'll give you a yell next time I am in the area for more than a weekend.
