Is this not like the one that was at the Galleria last year? It had supermotos and all.

The one at the Galleria will be back in March. It is more supported by the manufacturers. The last couple times I went to that one in Gwinnet it was more flea-market-ish, and very cruiser oriented.

In 6 years I've never been to either event. That said, I've heard a lot of positive things about the one at the Galleria.

Exactly. Unless you are just wantin to go see it for yourself for the hell of it, The Norcross event is a 99.9% cruiser market show, local new and used bike dealers, enclosed trailers, stickers galore, black leather stuff galore, lots of chrome. The Galleria at Cumberland Mall hosts the International Motorcycle Show, in March and it's the shit! :evil All brands, all models, all latest and greatest.

Having been to both twice, I'd say rcomption is on the money. The one this weekend is a lot less glossy, and less supported by the manufacturers. Dealers will show up. Both times I went they had some fun stunt riding displays.

The truth? I think both shows suck.

I know the show sucks but it makes for some good people watching, seeing over priced choppers, ridden hard and hug up wet biker babes, etc. I'll be going sometime Sat. afternoon. The one at the Galleria is much better.

You guys say that Harley riders have a mentality that they are better than everyone else, and that folks that ride bikes like ours are much more open minded, world traveller types. Well, this thread certainly proves that point. I hate this elitist bullshit.

I will be going to this weekend's event with my Dad, who rides cruisers. His back is constantly aggravating him and his right leg has gone numb for some time now. He can't ride off road. So he rides cruisers, mainly Harley's, although he has owned lots through the years.

Is the event this weekend geared towards cruisers? Yup? Is it fun nonetheless? Yup. Interesting people. Some cool vendors offerring up some stuff you just don't see anywhere else. Some incredibly tasty, scantily clad ladies. It's a good time, and they serve beer, so what else do you want? Why the need to pick out of the 2 shows? Go to both. It's something to do anyway.

    Open your minds. Fuck.

Rant over. It's been one of those days.

I have an open mind. Went there twice and don't think it's worth going again.

    Nothing stuck up about that.:lol3

That's kinda how I feel. Not saying I'll never go again, but the show wasn't so great. Best bike I saw was a Guzzi parked outside. :lol3

What can I say? I was having one of those days yesterday. I did go to the show today with pops, and as we all know it was mostly cruiser stuff BUT I did see some cool stuff there that I haven't seen first hand yet such as the new retro style Ducs (very nice indeed) and the new Triumph Scrambler (also a cool little bike). Also some some BITCHIN' MV Agustas. Both local BMW shops were there. First thing you see when you walk in is Atlanta BMW and a nice new 1150 GS (DRROOOOL!) in it's magnificent blue and white color scheme. Also, heads up for anyone wanting a DL1000...Machines in Motion (based in Cumming) had a new red 06 for friggin' $5695!!! What a deal! Wish I could've bought it. Very nice indeed. My dad's friend owns an Iron Horse dealer by McFarland Rd and they were selling those bikes left and right. It was 3 hours well spent, IMO. Not as many nearly naked spokesgirls running around this time though, and the stunt show was delayed due to the weather. There was like 10 bikes parked outside is all!

fixed, glad you had fun. I'm down with cruisers for what they are...I have often said I may even have a chopper one day for the hell of it, for "show!" (in addition to a GS of course). I'm my family's black sheep:

My dad's back kills him too, so I don't understand, why not an RT/LT or somethin comfortable, any brand? (HD elitest attitude, all due respect dad) Mom too, for that matter. :dunno

See my mom working there?? She was NOT nearly naked though. I think, I hope. :huh

:lol3Normally that's a show in itself, were you and pops 2 of 10? :ear

Really? If that's true, then that is not only misleading, that is BULLSHIT.
