Help a brotha out, will ya.....

I'm looking for bike transportation from So Cal to Grand Junction, CO and then back from Steamboat to So Cal. My ideal dates are as follows:

Thursday, Sept 12th - Airport in Grand Junction, CO - Noon bike pick up.
Monday, Sept, 16th - Airport in Hayden, CO (Steamboat) - 4AM bike drop off

I have $500 cash for someone who can make this happen. If you can't help me, Know anyone who can??

    Thanks in advance!!

Why don't you ride it? I'm not trying to troll, just a serious question.

Yeah...Trust me...I'd love to! And I might have to if I can't find someone to help me out.

I just would rather spend 4 days on COBDR than 2 days riding slab just to get there. If I had more time there would be no question.

I think we, the Seat Concepts crew, might be able to help you out with this. We are currently on the road heading home from an Oregon riding trip so I'll figure out the logistics when I get home. Looks like you are just around the corner from me. I live in Orange.

The best part of the COBDR is south of I-70 not north.

Thanks for the heads up!! I wanted to go into Grand Junction because there is a regular flight.

My initial plan is to head south out of Grand Junction and meet up with COBDR in Telluride or somewhere around there.

I'm looking at Thursday afternoon to Sunday night. Is that enough time to get from GC down to Telluride and then COBDR North to Steamboat??

It took us 3days from Telluride to Steamboat on the COBDR that was with good weather no rain/mud The section from Leadville to Gyspum has no hotels/motels.
    Have fun

Was it 12 hour riding days? Or casual pace?

Thanks for the tip on the hotel situation. I'm planning on roughing it.

No problem Flynride - This is a god deal for both of us. Got your message last nigh after I got home from riding. I rode up to Santiago peak for the sunset. There were 10 other ADV riders up there. Do you ever ride up there? We go up just about every Thursday night and definitely on the full moon. You should come join the fun one night. It's big bike friendly.:deal

Yes, I ride to there frequently on the MTB and the 990.

I'll definitely keep the Thursday night ride in mind. I'll be Going through CNF this Saturday on a nice little loop.
