I'm helping a friend move to Eugene next week and will be dragging a 12' v-nose trailer up there along with my Sprinter. I'm empty on the way back to San Diego, so would be happy to haul down a bike or bikes, quads, etc., or just about anything else really in order to make a few bucks on the way back down.

I could pick up anywhere near Eugene (even up to Portland, as that would give me an excuse to see my ******* [redacted; WONDERFUL] brother up there).

Can drop off anywhere along California, from Sacto to San Fran to Santa Barbara, to LA all the way down to San Diego (I live near Downtown San Diego, so about 20 miles from the Mexican border).

If you need hauling down next week, let me know!

Damn,,that's tempting,,"Take me to the border" jumped right into my vision,,nearly blocking my view of reality!
If you were a month or so later,,I'd be glad to pop for fuel all the way.

Funny you say that. After I get back to San Diego from Portland on the 3rd, I turn right back around and drive up to Fairbanks Alaska to move my dad up there on the 11th. I should be headed back South from Fairbanks around the 21-22, so should be coming back through Portland on the 29th or so of October...headed back to San Diego!

I saw a PK Ripper BMX on Stockton craigslist that i'm coveting. It might cost less just shipping it up North to Portland though.

Like I said above, I am headed up from San Diego to Alaska on the 11th and will be staying the night in Portland most likely at my brothers place. Wouldn’t be too much trouble to pick it up in Stockton. If you decide to pull the trigger and get a shipping quote, I’ll happily beat the best price you can find.

    29ish October,,,,heading south?
you are testing my resolve here now!:dirtdog
But,,once the rains start up again, and I get my first "winter" chill,, I'm cereal-lee considering just skipping winter altogether,It would be a first in my lifetime,,,I ain't rich, and would be stressing finances (unless I sell my KLR), but I really do not do well in the cold and damp of the PNWet in winter.!
I don't know if I could tolerate 3 or 4 months of camping on Baja's sunny beaches, ,,,,,but at 68 I'm getting old enuff to give it a try!
Keep posting yer progress north and south,,I may just have to stick my thumb out and hitchhike on yer way south!
I'd be the old guy on the side of the road with a fully loaded ktm and a wistful look in the eyes.,,I could manage a tear or two if it would be more convincing!
The concerned women would say,"Won't someone please stop and give that poor old man a ride?)
    I'll have a cardboard sign,
    ,Homeless,
    broke,
all I got is this wicked bike.
Please oh please,,Take me to the southern border!:lol3:clap:1drink
I know me,,and it's starting to sound like I am talking myself into another adventure,,make big claims, then have to back them up by flaking out and just plain old style fucking off!
Like when we were kids,,"I wanna run away from home!"

Just got home last night! Ended up being a quick trip, left on Saturday morning, got there Sunday, unloaded, then hit the road back South.
