I didn't find a decent list of bikes above 500 cc that have large tank range (150 miles and above)

Can you help me by each of you posting your achievements on this matter?

The only bike I had that comes near that was my Kawasaki zr7 that carried me 186 miles until reserve. (21 l tank)

I am not interested in people riding in low rpms and straining the bike, the result should be that of riding in normal rpm ranges. Please also talk about the tank capacity.

    Thanks.

2007 Triumph Sprint ST. The faster you go, the more economical it gets. I'd usually fill up around 230 miles. (5.2 gallon tank) The newer GT's get even better mileage. Calculated MPG while doing about 85-90mph indicated for hours was 53mpg.

My Buell S3 would routinely reach 225-250 miles on a tank while cruising at 70-75 MPH.

Hayabusa. 5.5 gallon tank. I can go at least 200 miles before the low-fuel light comes on. I suppose I could get to 250 or so before I ran completely out. I routinely get 48 mpg.

Disclaimer... this is for touring, not track or commuting.

A KLR 650 has a 6.1 gallon tank with IMS making a 10 gallon for it. Most riders get around 200 + per tank. My friends BMW R100RT has about a 7 gallon tank and pushes 270 or so before refueling.

BMW GS - 8 gallons. You can pretty easily make it to 300 miles if you're careful.

I've also heard that the Honda ST1300 would go around 300....oh and the Striking Viking had a massive tank for his 650GS - 9 gallons or something. I think he said he could get some insane like 600 or 700 miles on a tank

Yamaha FZ6. 5.1 gallon tank, .9 left after the fuel light comes on. My average over 8k miles running 87 octane is 49mpg. 49 x 4.2 = 206 miles before the light comes on, then another 40 miles before you're dry. On average.

Really a stellar mile eater. keep it under 70 and mileage rises significantly. I did that for a whole tank. Once. :lol3

Honda ST1300 with a 7.76 gallon tank.....................I've pushed it as far as 350 miles, but normally I go about 280-300 before a refuel. Getting too low in the lower tank is not good for the fuel pump.

Moto Guzzi Norge 1200. I usually fill up with my friends so we can compare mileage at around 150 miles. That being said, I have a 6 gallon tank and I can get near 47mpg. So 230 to 240 is pretty good. I usually don't want to push it past 225 since my mileage can vary from 42 to 47.

Another vote for the older Connies. I routinely go 200 miles on a tank.
