I think I remember her calling them goats?
Be Kind now Uncle Jed ............ she once call a American Coot a Mallard and a possum a raccoon , she's a sweet little gal though , bless her heart , and as long as she'll travel the highway's & byway's with this old coot ? Yes dear ...... the cow's and goats are pretty but ya gott'a get back in the rig we have to make Amarillo by morn'n ...
My wife on her newly modified ride yesterday. Celebrating our 24th anniversary tomorrow, definitely a keeper.
Lovely wife and fantastic bike. Would it be inappropriate to ask for more shots of the bike and the build?
A Killboy photo from around 2001.
The bike is gone but I still have the same leathers
and the same wife!
Totally appropriate, but I dont have a build thread. It's just a mild conversion of a 2004 Suzuki Savage LS650. Pretty much just: 17" rear wheel, DS tires, longer shocks, new subframe, new seat, a few performance upgrades and a whole lot of powder coating.
It's a work in progress, we determine what she wants as she rides it more. Pretty sure we will leave the forward controls, as she likes the comfort on her knees and would never stand up on the pegs anyway. She liked the comfort but hated the cruiser turn in, so longer shocks and much wider bars helped tremendously. We might change the front fender for more coverage if it proves an issue. I've also got a more scrambler-esque GT185 tank that we might fit and paint eventually.
Thanks for the compliments. Hope this isn't too much of a thread hijack :)
Cool. I noticed the forward controls, so that really piqued my interest as to what was going on. I got my start in motorcycle doing just the opposite, turning wrecked dirt bikes into chops. Parking was expensive on campus, and registering custom bikes was easy. I didn't even have to buy shocks if I made it a chop, so that's what we did. I haven't ridden a cruiser or chop in ages now, and find myself constantly looking at bikes like yours thinking "If I could make a shortypants dual sport out of that, my wife would love it."
does the speedometer mounts squeak like mine used to? After seeing this, it is the only time i wish i had mine back.
mine can do oil changes, and always has a smile. even after 10 hours in pillion..
What kind of oil??
Great photos! Hey, what's with you all covered up to stay dry and your poor gal being left out in the breeze behind you!! For shame!
we were catching a ride somewhere in vietnam, im taking the photo from the back of another moped.
It's Christmas time! I wonder what's that gift...
Better check the tag to see who it's for.
I got home from work, turned on my computer & this was my home screen/wallpaper!!!!!!!
So do you know this person?
If that is your 'bike wash' chick, don't pay her, she missed a bit under the rear guard
