I love Big Bend NP. I stopped in for a couple of days during a cross-country ride I did earlier this year. The road leading into Cottonwood campground off 118 is one of my all time favorites. I'd love to go back sometime with a dual-sport bike and spend a week or two.

Ok, so can I post pictures of my husband and bikes? :lol3

We met in a motorcycle shop over 20 years ago. He was a sponsored roadracer and I was a dirt ridin' parts person that commuted every day on a streetbike.

I taught him how to ride in the dirt and we've been happy every since :raabia

Photos of us together are pretty rare, as we're usually riding together by ourselves, but here are a few...

She's loved riding pillion ever since we met three years ago, and has always wanted to ride herself. Well she took her MSF Basic Rider Course last weekend and got off her former mount Charger and onto Killer the XT225 for a spin around the yard. Go, girl! :D Now she wants a new Suzuki TU250 so we're going to look at one this weekend. The fire is well and truly lit! :evil

Check out the ATGATT - I've been trying to convince her that it's important and the MSF instructors confirmed it, so now she's a believer. It was 90 degrees and about 92% humidity so this inaugural ride didn't last long.

This is a great thread! I'm very proud of her for overcoming some pretty deeply held fears and reservations about her abilities. I suspect I'm not alone in congratulating anyone who takes a step like that, male or female.

Here is a picture of my partner, Lex and of our bike taken at a beach near Nelson in New Zealand. Lex had never been on a bike before we got together six years ago and today she is getting ready to sit her licence. She is a great pillion, so good in fact I have to check she is still on the bike some times. Riding together keeps us together. Looking forward to many years together.
