No problem Peter! It was good to finally ride with you, and to meet Miss Vicki...though I have noooooooooo idea why a woman like that ...never mind....:augie ... You're only s stone's throw away...you'll have to come help me finish laying out the Gulf Coast Trail....

...and leave those "hater-vision" goggles at home...they burned a hole in the back of my helmet...or maybe that was Mrs Swampy hitting me all the time...oh well....

Rich, please pm me, Mrs Swampy would like Kim's email so we can set up a ride sometime...she had a great time riding with "Speedy"!

    Until next time....

Great pics! :clapWe were on the adventure ride too, but ahead of you,
riding alone until we picked up a lost couple on their Buell. Wish we could
have ridden with the "Swampy" group, but didn't know it existed, guess we left way before you all. The couple who rode with us felt the same way you did about sand vs pavement, and I doubt the wife will be back on an adventure ride anytime soon.

I hope you two weren't scared off!:huh HOW many times did you dump it and is she still speaking to you? LOL! We wished someone would have been there to warn us about that crevice in the road, the route obviously was not checked the week before. We both hit it and I saw my life flash before my eyes, invisioning myself flying over the handlebars. Hubby managed to jump it as he is experienced, I tried to swerve and somehow lived through it.
Not all the adventure rides have that much sand and sand and dirt and dirt. Plus, Swampy's roll charts are MUCH easier to read and much more accurate and detailed. He needs to give lessons!:evil The Gainesville ride to Cedar Key was an excellent example of good roads, less challenges.

Hope to meet you two on another adventure, maybe the Hooch in June?:lol3

    Hey Cat -

No worries, I am used to dumping the pig, although it has been a while since I dropped it on an actual road. Search around for incriminating photos.

Vickie is pretty tough, but she may wish to dump her own bike in the future.

I dropped it twice before figuring out the "gas and go" technique. I try to crash at very low speeds. Helps with the healing time.

The comments in the post are mostly in jest....

    Peter

PS. The guy on the Uly is a pretty tough codger. I helped him kill the clutch on the thing in the Daytona ride, and he came back for more. Can't ask for more than that!
