My family along with some family friends want to camp there but we have a scheduling conflict. I can go a day earlier than them but have to leave a day earlier. My plan was to ride my Uly with all my gear and claim a spot either late on a Wednesday night or Thursday morning. My family and friends can load up the RV and meet me on Friday and stay until Sunday but I have to be home for work on Sunday. Can a 30 foot motorhome make it up there? I went last year with my wife's Honda Pilot and had no problems but can't remember if there were some tight switchbacks or bad places.

    Thanks
    Scotty

If you mean the Black Pine Lake West of Twisp, I remember seeing big travel trailers in there. I seem to remember there are two ways to go by, one good, one not-so-good. Check the Benchmark! dd

    +1, assuming....

You'll want to travel up E Buttermilk Butte. It's paved 2/3 the way to the campground, with only one switchback...fine for a 30ft.

Poorman Cr. RD is posted no trailers at one point, and has several switchbacks and very narrow sections of road. Also very few (small) pullouts on narrow hillsides.

Thanks everyone, Twisp is the place! It's a perfect situation for me, I get to ride, spend a night alone. The next day a shower, refrigerator full of beer, my dogs and my family arrive. Two days later I get to take another ride, sleep in my own bed alone and then be back to work. Can't beat that camping trip.

Motorhome no problem. Head up the Buttermilk off of Twisp River Road. Snowmobile access right now.
