OK, time for me to get back into the RallyMoto game. For those that don't know my BRS last year ended abruptly on stage 2..... very abruptly. I am pretty much recovered physically and hope to have the bike back together this weekend.

A tip for everybody.... don't ride faster than your brain can process information like I did :lol3

Going to take it a bit easier this year and try to stay sane.

Want to see what happens to a bike when it contacts a tree? I shot a video overviewing the damage.

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/5jkeuC2VSmg?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    It should all be fixable.

Since I sometimes can't get videos to embed here is a direct link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jkeuC2VSmg

I want me to enter too! It's still a possibility but seeming less likely... may be closing on a new adobe about that time. Good news is it has space in the back for a separate garage :evil

I hate to hear that man... injuries suck. You and drc42 are making me look for a bubble suit.

I did find a 78 honda mini trail for $500 on CL i'm tempted to go pick up. Surely i could get it race ready by September :rofl

Ha. I don't think a bubble suit would be much help. So yes, injuries suck, but it's not like I wasn't having the time of my life doing it. I feel pretty luck, I just watched drc42's video. All I have to do to my bike is fix the front flat, bang the hand guard back in place, and replace the clutch lever. Hell, that's not actually broke, just bent out of shape a bit. I'd really feel unlucky if I had all that bike damage to go along with the shoulder. No worries, I'll be back, as slow and as dangerous as ever.

Do it!!! Oh wait, that's a 2-stroke isn't it? Damn 2-stroke rule kills off another ideal rally bike :ddog

My minitrail 70 is not street titled, and I don't even have an ownership for it, or I'd ride it for sure!

Next year...battle scooters take on stage rallying!

What's everyone doing for lodging? Looks like the nearest hotels are a half hour away...

A few years ago when I ran, I camped at the campground which ended up being the service area as well. Is that not the same place again this year?

I always stay at the campground.

Unfortunately no, at least wasn't last year. The service area was near the start in Croghan. Not sure if that is the same plan this year or not. Was really handy a couple years ago having the service area right at the campground.

I just booked a few nights at the Pleasant Night Inn in Carthage NY. It's about equal distance (20-30 min) from both Croghan and Harrisville.
