I saw the speedbrain desing, it is what i had in mind too just to cover the fuel cap, but also need the front bracket to slip it into place. Will move the bike into the work shop this week and will start with the mold for the seat and goo from there.

The Blackbird/Speedbrain/Touratech G450X replacement seat will not fit the Sarari front aux tank just FYI

The Safari front aux tank requires using the stock seat since the stock seat is made of foam it will distort easily at the front where the Safari tank stradles the frame.

I have a starter question I was hoping you guys migt be able to help with.

Sometimes when I hit the starter button nothing happens. Nothing as in absolutely nothing. No clicking, engine turnover etc etc. Usually, if I hit it a few more times the bike fires up as expected - but obviously something is wrong.

I haven't been stuck with the bike due to this - but given that there is no kick starter I want to stay a step ahead on addressing this.

So, have any of you had a similar problem and if so how have you addressed it?

I already took the handlebar starter appart in an effort to clean it - but all the internals lool to be - well - internal - so there was really nothing accesible to clean.

Does anyone have a lead on super-moto wheels besides Woody? Warp wheels are about $920 delivered.. maybe used wheels to be used for hubs for re-lacing?

Had the bike out today for the first time since surgery last fall. Despite a long, cold winter here in Vermont, bike fired up right away with no problems. Did a quick oil change. Put on a new skid plate. And had to re-wire the tail/brake light as it kept shorting out.

Got to love that about a FI bike. Exactly why I bought g450x when it was one of the first FI bikes.
