My mate came around today with two sets of these. They are the same as I have on the R90 racer so they are ....ahem "race proven"...well they didn't fall off or break.
Made from stainless steel with aluminium shafts that go thru the motor. The rear one is undrilled as motor/gearbox would need to be fitted and aligned to suit, marked up and then drilled and tapped.
What I like is that all the original engine covers still fit.I mocked it up on a spare r100 case so you get the idea.....any thoughts? marketable?:evil

They look lovely but a very small market for them I would think. If i start grinding thru too many covers I'd be tempted. :D

The dogbones need the external oil filter to improve practicality.

You had me confused for a bit there until I realised that the rear mount holes haven't been drilled out yet.

    Bit of a niche market.

    Yes you two are correct......
He was looking at the oil cooler but as the races are only 6 laps its not an issue.
I'll tell him to forget it.
He has however made moulds for VW type 4 2 litre heads, had them cast, and they are on a car in Germany.....
......and I know of someone who knows of someone who has a set of Krausers.....heads not panniers....:rofl
I gave him some bespoke Norton cartridge fork internals and some BMW forks to look at today.....see what that throws up..

Can you reverse them to lower the engine ? The raised engine looks dorky, but a lowered engine would look cool.

Do you have any of these you'd want to sell?
It might save me making new tabs on the project bike.

    Thanks
