Fucking hipsters. I wonder if they've ever ridden a motorcycle without cameras following them or that didn't involve synchronized erratic weaving.

"We wanted to cross the mountains so we headed for... the mountains."
    Wow. That's special.

    Do music videos count?

Damn good thing this guy has a knack for making wonderful music, because he’s got no future as an Airhead mechanic... or owner for that matter.

Was trying to determine what drive lane country type he was in. Was all over the road and then parks it in the road, on backside of the hill in, since it appears to be a left lane drive country, the oncoming traffic lane - apparently hoping someone will come over the top of the hill and take out his bike - thereby taking care of his maintenance issues... :1drink

Would have been a better video if they had grandpa field strip the bike there by the side of the road using only the factory tool kit and his boy scout camping knife, replace a broken wrist pin with a piece of whittled oak, and send junior on his way.

Pretty sure Michael Chapman ("Grandpa") has even less Airhead knowledge then Steve Gunn ("junior"). They're both fantastic musicians though.

Is that a parody of hipsterdom, or an actual movie? That's hilarious.

In the ESPN 30 for 30 OJ special, there is a brand new 92 black/yellow GS parked on the side of the road, during one of the Bronco chase scenes.

It's a music video. It's great! C'mon - a guy (musician) riding on a desolate road has sudden engine trouble, after fiddling with the plug wire determines that it's hopeless and lays down on the side of the road. The only car for miles shows up and it happens to be a fellow musician albeit from an earlier generation and, after older musician also determines the bike is hopeless with a simple glare into the engine badge, they share wine and conversation about a shared subject. This is a classic motorcycle-journey story of finding life's treasures when the motorcycle stops running. Agreed that the bike trouble is over-simplified but...hey! it's a music video for chrissakes!

Definitely used my airhead in a music video recently and have no shame. When it gets published I'll share.

Despite some of the silliness we all see in advertising and media concerning our beloved bikes, I do appreciate the sentiment that people still see them as sophisticated and attractive machines. I rarely see a vintage Triumph or UJM in anything anymore. Honda Dreams will be the next big hipster two wheeler though, mark my words.

    "Jules would say
Take your time, ease up, look around
    and waste the day"

That's from song lyrics in the Steve Gunn music video. Certainly embodies the airhead ethos and fits with what the protagonist in the video did...
