I struggle to think of anything I have done that was more fun than doing laps around a track on a classic race sidecar.
The F1 sidecar is a close second for fun but that was more a punishment than a pleasure. (reminds me of an ex girlfriend )
R90 Mk 2 engine on the bench awaiting fettling.
K-line valve sleeves fitted.

Herr Headroom is full swing on the lathe, taking X mm off the Cylinders
Did a trial assembly yesterday. Probably close it all up next weekend.
Needs to be running for the start of the Hamilton Motorcycle Club winter series.

Yup, Nimbus - Danish, IL4 running fore and aft, shaft drive, pressed steel strut frame. They made them substantially the same for decades. There're a few in NZ.

Let the Irish in you rise to the surface. Wrap those spendy race tyres in glad wrap at the end of each meeting & keep covered from the sun to stop them going off

was owned originally by a guy who picked it up new, brought it back and was by all accounts a bit of a fibreglass whiz. Note fastback type seat,different front guard and fairing,he also made Krauser pannier copies.
Every service was recorded, petrol, etc. Second owner hardly used it.
38000 kms or miles ...not sure.
Had not been run in probably 20 years, new owner bunged on some R80 carbs, did an oil change and jump started it, sounded nice.
Came with all the original parts too.

Ran the motor in over a few KMs yesterday, on the face of it the modifications have produced a motor with a good spread of power.
Only adjustments needed was changing the ignition curve a bit.
Hampton Downs next Sunday so looking forward to that.
