I have a BMW Comfort Seat and like it a lot. It's a bit higher than the stock, but so much more comfortable. The pillion is way better. I had the Sargent and ended up returning it. The edges bothered the inside of my legs.

Hello riders, I'm looking to buy the bmw comfort seat online but I haven't found it on the web. It would be kind to point me in the right direction.

    Thank you.

I have heard that you can get a very good price at either the San Diego or Chicago BMW Dealerships. Just something that I read recently in another thread that I didn't mark so will have to try and track it down.

I just looked at bike bandit and couldn't find it listed. I searched for the PN and it came up but it is the same price as the dealer even when added to the cart so I'm not sure of the advantage of buying there? :huh

I bought mine from max bmw They had it in stock and it arived quickly. Had to pay msrp plus shipping but it was still cheaper than my local dealer with tax added and they didn't stock it.

Chicago bmw offers a 20% discount but they are very slow to get items in and shipped out if it's not a stocking item. At least that has been my experience.

I bought the comfort seat from Riverside BMW. They give me a discount because I bought my F800 there. The seat is comfortable both front and back. My original standard seat is for sale. :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky

Been running with this seat now for a couple of months and I'm happy with it. I haven't taken any trip so its just been my daily commute of 70 miles but it is much better than the stock seat. Probably not as good as a custom seat but available off the shelf and it looks great on the bike.

I have the BMW Comfort Seat for the F800GS and I ride it with a sheepskin in front and it is now possible to ride solo for as long as in between tank topping - realistic 6-9 hours in the seat without issues.

Two up we ride for 2-3 hours in comfort.

i have the comfort seat - did 3,700 miles on the translab hiway for 2 weeks - worked like a charm. Amazingly comfortable, much better than the stock one. Also, I bought the Sargent and hated it. I HIGHLY recommend it. If you are interested in a Sargent at a cut rate place, let me konw.

I missed that one. It is not so much of a difference, the BMW document officially give a 1.5cm higher for the Comfort seat.

When I went to the BMW dealership inquiring about the comfort seat the salesman did t seem to know anything about it. That seat hasn't been discontinued or anything has it? Everything I've read seems to indicate it would be perfect for my tookus so I'd hate to get my hopes up only to be disappointed... :ear

No, the seat isn't discontinued. Go back and talk to one of the parts counter guys. The part number is 77347724099, BMW Comfort Dual Seat, $445.95 retail.

    BTW, I love mine!

It was a little on the firm side when I first put it on the bike, but it broke in very nicely after a couple thousand miles of use.

Yeah I really like the looks of that!! I'm using a Sargent on my Wee and while I like it the Comfort Seat just has the fit and finish I really like while still being suitably wide/narrow in the right places. ;) I won't know for sure until I sit in one but good to know its still out there!!

I have the Comfort Seat for nearly two years and like it. I did a Saddle Sore 1000, and it was fine up to the 600 mile mark. After that I was wishing I had brought an Airhawk too. But for normal distances day afte day it is peachy.

I haven't noticed it being higher than the original bench seat. It is narrow in front so if there is a difference it really doesn't make it harder to control the bike at a stop.

Interesting that they include it as standard fare on the new " Adventure" 800.
I have had it on my 2011 and 3 years later still love it..

BMW F800gs "Comfort seat" is the finest, most comfortable long range, high miler saddle made by any current OEM. None finer.
. 2700 mile weekends, 2-up and NO snivelling from the pillion.
    .
Get the comfort saddle, that 'll shut her up.

I just replaced my Comfort seat with a Corbin. The Comfort was fine for a couple of hours, but after that it started hurting the "boys." The Corbin allows me to slide back more, making it a pleasant ride.
