I've seen some builder's attempts at the BMW Custom Concept bike but nothing made/built has even come close to the origional renderings they teased us with.

I currently have the screen saver picture of the one drawing, white tank, with the up-swept pipes and red engine block, single headlight. Humbly, I must admit, that this picture gives me a chubby. I was contemplating taking on this bike rendering as my next project after my HP2e is finished. Anyone got an opinion on the red engine block and up-swept pipes? Just curious that's all.

    Cheers inmates!:jkam

It looks good... but not so sure I'd want that exhaust up there by my leg. Sure, it's got a protector plate on it, but that still ain't gonna stop my knee & leg from getting mighty HOT!

you didn't happen!:lol3 read the first post guy! I'm asking for a f...in opinion on the red motor. R.I.F aka reading is fundamental. Was a program in the 80's you apparently didn't take advantage of. :fyyff

That is the horrible thing about concepts, look wicked, but as like always, someone in marketing would say it wouldnt sell, or "it wont meet safety standards".........
Edit:eek:r perhaps it just rides like shit

-you can get heatshield for the exhaust, no biggey.
And yes, i would love to own a perma-chubby:lol3

    Asbestos underwear, anyone? :lol3

Maybe it would make a nice display bolted to a living room floor, though :D

if ducati can bring out the Diavel and make it work, there is no reason BMW couldn't bring something like this to production - the concept bike is a pretty cool blend of bobber/scrambler/cafe - generally I think the modern BMWs are pretty ugly, but this one is pretty sweet (my taste may be off because I have a multistrada)
